Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio MiniCup Racing Series (IKO)

The goal of the IKO Racing Series is to provide an inexpensive stock car racing experience for new and old drivers alike. There are two divisions in the IKO Racing Series. One is for ages 7-16 called the Future Stars of Racing and the second is for older drivers called the Open Class.  You can enter Open Class at 14 years old. The cars are identical in every respect except Future Stars of Racing use a smaller carburetor, to reduce the power of the engine.  The IKO Series Open Class has an average of eleven (11) cars at ever race while Future Stars are averaging seventeen (17) cars per race. If you have always wanted to race but didn’t have the money, time, and pit crew, MiniCups may be the answer.

Where do we race?

The IKO Racing Series home track is Kil-Kare Speedway located in Xenia, Ohio. Kil-Kare is located forty minutes north of Cincinnati, Ohio and fifteen minutes east of Dayton, Ohio. Our track location draw spectators and race teams from a three state region and has enabled IKO to experience a large car count every weekend. The IKO MiniCup series provides a great racing experience and a terrific show for our spectators. IKO’s success has attracted drivers from Illinois, Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, and Iowa to race with us in 2006 and 2007. We expect to carry this momentum forward into 2008 and realize an increased level of participation in both classes.

New in 2008 is the addition of Baby Grand race cars. We are scheduling three race dates each offering double features. This will allow 6 point races for Baby Grands. Our goal is to get a couple exhibition races on Friday nights to attract additional drivers. Once we get our car count up we hope 2009 will bring Baby Grands to a full Friday night schedule.
