Points Rules for 2008

Future Stars has a full IKO race schedule and we will count your 11 best races for final points. If there is a tie we will revert to the best place finish on our final points race being race 14.

For Baby Grand and Open Class we are allowing all drivers to take their best 4 races out of the 6 scheduled IKO races plus count 6 other races from other events. For example you can count all you national races.

You must be an IKO member for your points to be counted and it is your responsibility to submit race results to IKO. There are additional instructions below on basic points system.

  Basic Point Allocation – The basic IKO points system will follow the MMRA points system and awards points based on finishing positions in feature events only.  No points are awarded for pole positions, qualifying races, heat races, etc.  Only IKO members will be referenced in the finishing order.  The winner receives 40 points.  Each position back receives one less point.  Here is an example of the top 5:

We will not reduce points based on car count for IKO. First place will always get 40 points, however if we only have 8 cars we will report first place as 38 points to MMRA.
